What timber do you use for freestanding vanities?
We use premium timbers including Tasmanian Oak, Blackbutt, and Spotted Gum, American Oak (Light, natural & Aged finishes) & American Walnut, Tasmanian Oak, Blackbutt, and Spotted Gum. These timbers are selected for their durability, stability, and suitability for bathroom environments.
Are freestanding timber vanities suitable for bathrooms?
Yes. Our freestanding vanities are designed specifically for bathroom use and finished with high-quality protective coatings to help withstand moisture, humidity, and daily use when cared for in acordance with our care and matinance guidelines
Do freestanding vanities need to be fixed to the wall?
In most cases, freestanding vanities are floor-supported but can also secured to the wall for stability and compliance with installation standards. We always recommend installation by a qualified tradesperson.
Can I order a custom-sized freestanding vanity?
Yes. All our vanities are made to order, so you’re not limited to standard sizes. We can customise your vanity down to the millimetre to suit your bathroom and specific requirements. We can also accommodate wall-to-wall installations, including custom filler pieces for a seamless, integrated look.

Yes. Our freestanding vanities can be customised in size, timber species, finish, drawer configuration, and handle details to suit your bathroom design and layout. Please give our showroome a call to discuss your options.
How much storage do freestanding vanities offer?
Freestanding vanities typically offer more internal storage than wall-hung designs, with options for full-depth drawers, shelving, and cabinetry depending on the configuration.
What basin types work with freestanding vanities?
Freestanding vanities can be paired with a range of basin styles including above-counter basins, inset basins, and undermount basins, depending on the benchtop design and overall aesthetic.
What height should a freestanding vanity be?
We offer freestanding vanities in two standard height configurations, depending on the basin style selected.
For above-counter (countertop) basins, the vanity cabinet is typically set at 760mm finished height (+ your chosen benchtop thickness). When the basin is added, this results in a finished top of basin height of approximately 900–950mm from finished floor level, depending on the basin selected.
For semi-inset, undermount, or integrated basins, the vanity is typically set at 850mm finished cabinet height (+ your chosen benchtop thickness), which also achieves a finished top of basin height of approximately 900–950mm from finished floor level.
Can freestanding vanities be made to match other joinery in my home?
We can work with timber species, stains, and finishes from our range to create a cohesive design. However, exact matching to existing joinery cannot be guaranteed due to natural variation in timber. Please give our showroome a call to discuss your options.
