Where is Loughlin Furniture made?
All Loughlin Furniture products are designed and handcrafted in our workshop on the Central Coast of New South Wales. We use high-quality, sustainably sourced timber and traditional joinery techniques to create furniture, vanities, and doors built to last.
How long does it take to make a custom timber vanity or furniture piece?
Lead times vary depending on the product and level of customisation. Most orders are completed within 4–8 weeks. Our team will provide an estimated production timeframe when your order is confirmed.
Can I view Loughlin Furniture products before I buy?
Yes. You can visit our flagship showroom on the Central Coast of NSW to see our products in person. We also have display locations and stockists throughout Australia where selected products can be viewed.
Does Loughlin Furniture deliver Australia-wide?
Yes. We deliver our handcrafted furniture, vanities, and doors throughout Australia, including Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Canberra, Perth, and regional areas. Delivery costs vary depending on the size of the order and your location.
How do I care for a solid timber vanity or furniture piece?
Solid timber is a natural material that will age beautifully with proper care. We recommend cleaning with a soft damp cloth, avoiding harsh chemicals, and protecting the timber from prolonged exposure to moisture and direct sunlight. For detailed advice, refer to our Care Guide.
What is your return and cancellation policy?
As our products are handcrafted and made to order, we do not offer refunds for change-of-mind purchases. If there is an issue with your order, please contact our team and we will work with you to find a suitable solution.
Can I purchase a vanity without a benchtop?
Yes. All of our timber vanities can be purchased without a vanity top, making them ideal if you're supplying your own stone, porcelain, solid surface or other benchtop material. When ordering a vanity without a top, it's important to note that the advertised vanity size refers to the finished benchtop dimensions, not the timber cabinet itself.
Our cabinets are intentionally manufactured slightly smaller to allow for a standard 5mm or 10mm overhang on the front and both sides, depending on the design of the vanity. For example, a 1200mm vanity is designed so the finished benchtop measures 1200mm wide, while the timber cabinet will be slightly narrower to accommodate the top overhang.
This ensures your completed vanity achieves the same proportions and appearance as our standard models. If you're arranging your own stone supplier, we'll provide the cabinet dimensions so your benchtop can be manufactured to suit perfectly.
Can I customise my vanity top?
Yes. Our Crafted Vanity Top Collection has been designed to offer a truly bespoke finish. Depending on your selected material, you can customise the natural or engineered stone, thickness (20mm or 40mm), add apron tops, washplanes or splashback, edge profile and overall design to create a vanity that perfectly suits your space.
Do you work with interior designers, architects, and builders?

What timber do you use for your vanities and furniture?
We work with a range of premium Australian and imported timbers, including American Oak, American Walnut, Tasmanian Oak, Blackbutt, and Spotted Gum. These timbers have been carefully selected as part of our range to suit a variety of applications across our products. Any timber choice within our range is suitable for our vanities and furniture.
What size vanity should I choose for my bathroom?
The ideal vanity size depends on your bathroom layout, available space, and storage requirements. Our team can help you choose from standard sizes or design a custom vanity tailored to your project. You’re also welcome to call our showroom to have a chat with our team and discuss your options.

Can you match existing timber finishes or joinery in my home?
In most cases, we are unable to guarantee an exact match to existing timber finishes or joinery. Even when the same timber species is selected, natural variations occur depending on factors such as the tree’s age, growth conditions, and source.
This is part of what makes timber a unique and natural material — no two pieces are ever exactly the same.We can, however, help you achieve the closest possible match by carefully selecting the same timber species, finish, and tone from our range. While a perfect match cannot be guaranteed, we focus on creating a cohesive and complementary result within your space.
What makes Loughlin Furniture different from other furniture makers in Australia?
Loughlin Furniture specialises in handcrafted products & made-to-measure furniture primarily using solid timber. Every piece is individually designed, built, and assembled in-house using traditional cabinetmaking techniques, structural timber joinery, and high-quality hardware. Our focus is on simplicity, durability, and design integrity rather than mass production.
Is your furniture made from solid timber or veneer?
We use both select-grade solid timber and high-quality real timber veneer, depending on the application. Solid timber pieces are individually inspected and grain-matched by our cabinetmakers, while our veneer is a real timber product that is carefully laid for beauty, stability and consistency. All bathroom products are designed to perform in wet-area environments.
How is Loughlin Furniture made and finished?
Our furniture is handcrafted in our NSW workshop using traditional cabinetmaking methods, including mortise and tenon joinery for strength and longevity. Finishing is a multi-stage process over approximately three days, involving multiple coats of high-performance polyurethane, sanding between layers, and sealing to ensure water resistance while maintaining the natural look and feel of timber.
Is Loughlin Furniture sustainable?
Yes. Sustainability is embedded throughout our process. We source timber responsibly from private native forests and NSW State Forestry certified under the Australian Forestry Standard (AS4707–2006). In our workshop, sawdust is collected and compressed into briquettes for CO₂-neutral fuel or compost use, significantly reducing waste and environmental impact. Find out more HERE.
What hardware do you use in your furniture?
We use premium Blum hardware, including drawer runners and hinges, chosen for their durability, smooth operation, and lifetime performance. This ensures the functional components of our furniture match the same high standard as the craftsmanship and materials.
